Awesome car! Keep at it… I’m doing the same. I don’t understand replicating sloppy assembly line graffiti, but to each his own. My Charger and wagon both have paint hangers (runs) on the firewall and there’s no way I’d want to copy that.

I have the time so I figured why not put the things back on it that were there when I tore it down. First time attempting it.

I didn’t mean to single you out. Just in general on restorations and all the paint daubs. I’ve been buying and selling Mopars of late 60’s to early 70’s and saw many original paint and assembled cars. A lot of the A and B body cars had terrible panel fitment, especially the fenders to the door and hood gap. Many had orange peel on the lower doors and rockers. All the restored cars I see don’t look like that. And that’s what everyone sees. Not painted steering linkage studs and rear axle covers. Just an observation. 8^]

I primed it and then used Duplicolor Chrysler Green engine paint with ceramic. The color seems a little off in the pics I posted but it has actually changed a bit since it has cured. Plus the LED lighting in the shop seems to give everything a different look in pictures anyway it seems like.

Been waiting for a week for my pilot bearing to get here. Wanted a USA made piece. Finally came today so I got it installed and then got the clutch and pressure plate installed. Hopefully I will get the engine and transmission bolted together next week and on the K frame. Spring is coming and my shop time is about to be a whole lot less.

It matches the sloppy weld job on the cover.

It’s been since around 1981 since that engine sat on the K frame. Next up is mounting the transmission up.

Restored original carb is bolted back on along with a NOS choke stove assembly and the new fuel line. Waiting on the KV fuel hose to get here. Starting to look more and more complete. I didn’t realize I was out of dry graphite to spray the i out shaft or I would have mounted the transmission up today.
