Hot Rust - You are a brave man, this car is a serious project. Thanks for posting more pictures. Several items/options jump out at me.
The car is an automatic, but has a clutch pedal. Someone must have wanted to convert it to a four speed and this was the starting point. All of the other 4 speed body pieces are missing.
The car is built prior to January 1, 1969. Your VIN is most likely less than WM23H9A201000. If not, I will be surprised. The clue for this is the 2 bulb tail lights. This also means your front seat will not have head rests.
While your hood has a ramcharger (N96) system on it, this car did not come with this option. Two clues as to why exist. One, there is no hole in the firewall for the controlling cable on the system. Two, it has two speed wipers. This system required a 3 speed wiper motor to clear the air cleaner assembly. This can be easily changed if you want the system on the car. The original hood to the car was the standard power bulge hood.
Listed below are the non standard options that I see:
S77 - Power Steering
S81 - Woodgrain Steering Wheel, 3 Spoke
L31 - Fender Mounted Turn Indicators
V1? - Vinyl Top
As for the vinyl top. There will be pieces around the trim clips on the front and rear windows to indicate the color. I would be surprised if it was not black. (V1X)
The upper door frame color is black on this car. Along with the headliner, dash pads, and steering column being black, it is safe to say that this car came with a black interior. Everything I see in the pictures indicates a bench seat car. (H2X) If it were a bucket seat car, additional brackets would be welded to the floor on each side of the tunnel.
The color of the stripe is most likely black as well. (8X) If you pull out the reflector housings in each quarter you may find remnants of the original stripe.
Automotive archeology is fun. Happy hunting with this information and let us know what you find!
