Just picked up a 440source dampener at a sweet deal from moparts. Read good things about them, though not a fan of the polished look.
Bead blast it!

So what cam# did Santa deliver?
Superb idea, my friend! Merry Christmas to ya, Don!
I'll add a dumb question to ski's good question. What's the best way to clean all these old parts I've collected? Just some shelf dust and maybe a little grit and grime from shipping. I guess I'll have the block professionally cleaned, but how about rotating assembly, rocker arms, timing set, etc?
moly rings. in a street application a top moly, cast second, standard tension oil rings will work fine. of course some of this will depend on pistons and ring width.SWEET HT413
Nice set-up!
Question to all as I am paralleling HT413s build...
For piston rings...
Non "RACE" engine...
1. Moly rings?
OR
2. Cast rings?
Hey grabber, it's the 704 cam. Voodoo hydraulic flat tappet. Super psyched!

Thanks fellas. My buddy is going to clean and assemble it all, but I don't want to be a shlemelle and hand him filthy parts. So I thought I'd pre-clean everything to save him time and show him a little courtesy.
We want to see some live action build pics too. When is the build going to start?
