I've had the seats out to do the carpets, so I'm pretty sure I would have spotted it if it was there.
I did not do the headliner, but I suspect the guy that did it would have given it to me had he found it up there.
Just went out and wiggled my hand as far as I could up behind the glove box and could not feel anything on top. If it's still in the car, they did a god job of hiding it, but I suspect it is gone.

And now back to your original programming. I don't want to hijack RC's thread.I thought I did pretty well, but I'm still shocked at his find.

Man, what a score that road runner is and a coupe too but I would have to get a better T handle. Shifter balls don't work too good for making a stick sound like an automatic and they hurt on a fast shift....

I pulled off all 4 wheels to inspect the brakes and much to my surprise, I found that the drums have never been off as you can see by the factory retainers. Once the drums were off and the excess brake dust was cleaned off, I could see that they were indeed the original brakes by the tan color of the shoes once some brake clean was sprayed on....

I cleaned the grease off of the bearing caps & they too have never been off. I'll pull the front drums another day to see what shape the shoes are in.

As a good mantainance, this weekend, I'm going to flush the brake system & put in fresh fluid. All four bleeder screws were able to be cracked with some heat applied.

When I bought the red 64 Savoy SS clone a couple of years ago, I felt guilty & thought that one had to go, so I chose the white Road Runner. Submit told me that I didn't need to sell it & looking back, I should have listened to her. The reality is that I should never had bought the Savoy to begin with and when I sold the Savoy last summer, my search for another suitable 69 post car began. I do think that this car more than makes up for the loss of the white one.

It is a nice looking rig.

Dayam!! Been a long time since I had to pull off the original drum retainers from a car that old!!

Easily 3/4 which is plenty enough for the driving I'll be doing. Since the front brakes do most of the braking, I'll be curious to see what they look like.

This is the right side. You can see that the primary shoe is a bit more worn than the secondary, but there's plenty of meat left.....
