My Dad's 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury

So the next question is wiring harness. I have read several forums and it sounds like there are many different options that many people like, and a few hate. I'm looking at Ron francis, EZ wire, and american autowire. Any thoughts one way or the other?

Thanks!

Got some more work done on the engine yesterday.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy. I was a little nervous about going with coppertone but I'm glad I did

First of all two thumbs up on the color choice! :icon_thumright::icon_thumright:
I put the heater box, interior insulation and dash back in first and then laid out all my wiring from bulkhead to trunk. Tossed the carpet in so it could form to the floor as I rolled around under the dash, making sure everything was plugged in. Then I installed the engine and ran all my wiring from the bulkhead forward.
Have you considered an unmolested factory harness? Real easy.

Thanks, abloch. I have thought about a factory harness. I understand you can get factory correct M&H harnesses from yearone. I haven't found any on their site for a '63. What they have is 1966 and up. Could be the same thing???

Engine in...and I'm still alive

Well, after some issues with the pilot bushing that I needed the machine shops help with, I was able to get the transmission all assembled and attached to the motor. Once I got that done, I thought let's just go for it and dropped the engine in all by myself. Probably not the best decision, but it is in and I still have all my fingers and toes and all vital organs.

Great project, and that color rocks! Your old man is smiling from ear to ear. ;)

Awesome color, that motor looks good in there. You've done your dad proud!

Keep up the good work!

X 2 Looks great sitting in there, Its a cool thing your doing and the beast is going to look meaner now then ever! Good luck to the finish line! :)

Well guys, project is still moving along, a bit slower though. I about have the engine ready to go; just need to connect fuel lines and belts and hoses and stuff. I am just about finished with the fatmat insulation, just need to add some to the roof. I've started running some wires and having the EZ wire harness spread out a bit with wires ran to the front and back it doesn't seem quite as daunting. Anybody know why my pics are always sideways???

So I have been thinking about my plans for suspension. Originally I was planning on going whole hog with a magnum force set up or one of the equivalents. I'm thinking now that may be unnecessary. I am only building the "Beast" into a street cruiser- not going to drag race or autocross or anything. So what would you guys recommend? I'm thinking just upgrade/replace bushings, add a sway bar, drop it 2" and call it good. Anything else I should do or not do?

Got the fenders on. Starting to look like a car. Now I can get moving on wiring. I have all the wires run to about where they go just need to start making connections.
