Well time for an updated. I tried to get the engine to fire over the weekend. After I dinked around with no success for awhile my buddy came over and we almost got her running. We've got spark and fuel but think the timing is 180 deg. out. Found a fuel leak coming from the fuel pump so once I get that fixed we will give it another shot. Sure was great to hear it turning over and trying to start though.

This is an awesome project that you've got going! My father passed away this past June and left my brother and I with a pair of 1964 Metallic Chestnut Sport Furys. They are awesome cars! My brother got the 426 Street wedge and I got the 383, but the condition of mine is a bit better, so I am not too worried. Both of them have been garaged since 1984. I can't wait to get started on the project that he dreamed of doing one day... just a bit disappointed I never got to work on it with him.

Well I got the fuel leak fixed and we fixed the distributor issue (I didn't know there was a problem before, but thanks to my neighbor we got it fixed)

Here's the mods I made to the engine - Bored .30 over, Weiand 4 barrel alum. intake #7503, New Edelbrock 600cfm Carb, 258/.460 HP Poly Solid Camshaft

Thanks Mr. B. I plan on getting a tach this weekend so I can break it in. From what I have read I need to keep it at 2,000 rpms for 10 minutes. Anyone have any different input on that?

Did some work on the dash this weekend. Back in the day my dad drilled a bunch of holes in the dash under the stereo to mount a new CD player. Wasn't sure how I was going to fix that trim piece, but was able to find one at a local junk yard out of a 63 Fury. Here's the before and after.

Thanks. Not sure on wheels/tires yet. Right now it's got 14 or 15" wheels with the dog dish hubcaps, not sure if these were factory and the tires are some old knobby snow tires my dad had on it.

Figured I would start posting here again. Made some good progress on the rear end today, thanks to new axles and rear disc brakes from Dr. Diff.
