Thanks man. I had a scare the other night with it. I went to roll it out of the way on the stand and heard and felt two loud pops and the engine dropped down a little. I looked at the engine stand head and two of the attaching legs had broken off the bolt sleeves bolted to the bellhousing. So I got my engine hoist right around there and got it off the stand and on the floor.

That was a cheap harbor freight stand too, boys. DON'T buy them. My other one is a Summit and is a 1250 pound capacity. It's a good one. Disaster was averted. Thank goodness.

Nice to see a well thought out fun little budget build, these kinds of things keep the enthusiasm level high when the bucks are down. :headbang:

With me, that's all the time. LOL Anyway, I didn't see anybody respond......if yall want me to do a cam bearing how to, just say the word. I am gonna be doing it this weekend and taking pics so I will be able to whip something up if yall are interested.

Ok dude. I reckon one request is enough. lol Since Kitty's gonna be takin pics anyway, I'll do a nice how to on it. I got the cam bearings in yesterday so I have them now.

Minor setback on Frankenteen. I am going to run a serpentine belt setup. I have the Magnum timing cover already installed and installed my Magnum water pump tonight. I went to place the serpentine bracket on the front of the engine to check for fitment.....and it will not fit. So, I am going to have to get a sho nuff Edelbrock Air Gap intake specifically for the Magnum engine so that the serprntine accessory bracket will bolt in place. So, as of now, I will officially have a chinese knock off air gap available that will fit either the LA or Magnum heads. It has a dual bolt pattern. It is new, but has been bolted on, sprayed with VHT flat aluminum paint and cleared. I will post pics in the for sale section.

A little. I've got my 49 Dodge truck cab for the rat truck. Got the 83 D150 cab off the frame and am gettin it all cleaned up. I did get a sho nuff Eddy Air Gap and that solved the serpentine belt problem. Gettin my flywheel/clutch setup next so I can bolt the 4 speed on the 318 and then I'll mock it up in the frame. I'm gonna set the engine and trans back probably more than a foot since the 49 cab is way shorter and to facilitate getting the radiator behind the front of the front tires. I hate it when people build rat rods with the radiator hangin all out front. Ghey.
