My free 69 charger R/T restoration

I have made a little progress, life has been a little busy lately. I have been finishing up a deck I put on Around the pool for the Mrs., also baby proofing the pool for the little guy. I have been waiting for a good amount of progress before I post an update. Thanks for keeping watch!
 
Well here it is, an update finally! I have been at the car just haven't had chance to make and update. Since last update I fabbed a new package tray end support for the left side as it was rotten. Also patched the rear roof inner structure pieces.

Here are the rest of the photos. You can see I swapped in the roof and firewall from the satellite. Also pics of the roof structure repairs, in the one pic you can see the transition that needs to be welded where the satellite roof structure is being grafted to the charger to make the rear window right. I had new front frame rails and door hinge pillars but came across a guy selling this whole front clip which is supposed to be from a 68 hemi road runner. Who knows what it's from as numbers are cut out but all I care is its rust free and already 3/4 blasted! Saves me a lot of work as everything is fully assembled so I will
Probabaly remove the satellite firewall I installed and swap this in at the a pillers.

This weekend I removed the rotten front frame rails and inner fenders to get ready to swap in the new front clip. Also I fitted the rear roof structure pieces around the rear window. Heres where I'm having some issues. I had bracing set up on the car to locate the roof sections but since I have swapped one side with a piece from a different car and spliced them into the satellite roof sections my rear window channels don't quite line up. I test fit my quarters and roof skin and the rear lip on the roof skin where it welds to the window frame is off. Has anyone had any issues fitting a new AMD charger roof on their cars? I'm sure I will get to the bottom of it with somemore tweaking, wishing I'd have gotten some preliminary window opening measurements now.

I got my rear window delema resolved over Labor Day weekend and got those rear window pieces and roof structure burned in. Last night I pulled the rear frame rails and what was left of the trunk floor.

Tonight I didn't have a lot of time but I did a quick slap together of the rear end parts. Considering I didn't work at all to make anything fit perfectly I am considerably happy with the trial.

I have a question for those who've installed a new trunk pan in their chargers and maybe other b bodies. Haw faris the trunk suppose to stick out past the rear crossmember? I have roughly 1/2-3/4" (haven't measure it yet).
 
More pieces! I had the rear spring mounts bought already but in reading through some threads I came to find out I had Plymouth ones. I ordered through keystone website and their information showed 66-70 b body all the same. Glad I found this issue now instead of after paint!

That is about correct. I have been rebuilding a 70 V code Charger here at our shop and ran into the same thing with the AMD panel. Everything went together straight and even just fine. I'm 99% done welding on this one!

Got rid of what was left of the rotten floor and that it, no more rot! Also test fit the rear seat pan.

Great work and I appreciate your dedication. But I will never understand you rust belt people will spend thousands of dollars over what you could buy a west coast car for half of what you have in just parts. Let alone the labor involved.
