Wow, been following from the start and from the care to detail and professional attitude taken for the building of the shop, I am sure customers cars will be taken care of in the same way!
Best wishes on your new phase in life.
When do your start work on the Ford or have you already?
Thanks guys. I just did an assessment of the car yesterday. Today I will begin removing bumpers and trim, front glass, fuel tank... You guys know the drill.
I have to replace a floor support that is very common for rot troubles with these cars. I also need to do 4 rocker repairs, to fix where some low buck low rider used the gas axe to hack the rocker pinch welds to make room for side pipes or lake pipes to tuck nice and tight.... Lol!
Overall the car is very solid though. I would love to get my hands on a b body as solid as this old Ford.
I think the kits are called "max air" it's plastic with an aluminum core. It's a 3 ply, cross section looks like blue plastic, aluminum then white plastic on the inside. You can form and shape it around corners, it uses compression fittings with double O rings at the ends.
Dave, Is that Rust Bullet, you used on the outer wheel house? I just used some of it in the engine bay of my 68 GTS. Stuff is hard as Chinese Arithmetic !!
You would think so from the color but I used 2K epoxy primer in this area.
I'm going to try a new encapsulator type product I found soon, it's signifigantly lower cost than rust bullet or por15. I'll try to post when I get it and let you guys know what I think.
