My new to me 64 Polara

Glad to see you finally got your 64 B Body Mike. Congrats.

I know you from the Early A Body forum on FABO. We were both started looking for a Polara at the same time. I think that search started at least 5 years ago for us both. I just got mine last year too. Really great cars.
Thanks. I'm glad you found one too. This one kind of fell out of the sky at my feet. It was meant to be.
This might be my last Mopar I own. I could see that.

Kramer Automotive Specialties lists the fender top Fratzogs at $145.00 per pair. Outer headlight surrounds at $350.00 per pair. Trunk lid lock cover is $295.00. www.kramerauto.com

I have been happy with my dealings with Jim and his crew.
Thanks for the tip. I might have to work on those pieces a month at a time. LOL

Best way to work on your wiper motor is to pull the glove box cardboard out, and work through there.

Wonderful Mopar!

I see lots of early Mopars with single system brakes.
It makes me feel kinda wobbly seeing them in 2025.

Modern cars have very complex ABS systems now.
I have a 64 D200 that I converted to dual line system which makes me feel happier.

If I can I will convert it to a disc brake system too as when I cam work it out.
Recently done my Moparmates 1966 512ci Polara to a Scarebird disc set-up.

What can I say ''but it stops now''...

Thanks. I have 2 cars now with single reservoir master cylinders. I live dangerously. A disc upgrade may be in the car's future. The Scarebird system really worked well. A friend has it on his R/T and it works well. I will probably check out Dr. Diff and see what he has available. Cass is a great guy to deal with and really knows his stuff if you have questions.

I converted my 66 Charger using the Scarebird kit and a modern plastic reservoir master. I am very pleased with the results, even with manual brakes.

If you take off the inner aluminium sill plates and pull up the side of your carpet, you will find threaded provisions for optional seat belts in the sills. All '64 Dodges had these. A set of Retro Seatbelts can be attached here with regular seat belt bolts. There was no factory provision for attaching rear seat belts, however. I have added rear belts to my car, using large, thick flat washers for floor reinforcement.
I found these and they look like they would work fine. The retractors are a nice feature.
I am not necessarily restoring the car. I feel like I don't need to find original belts that I would send out to get restored.

Good to know they were nice belts. The PO screwed rings in the bolt holes. I found some clip on belts for rings but thought the flopping and noise might not be good.

I used chemical guys coating and it works well. I have seen some other brands that I would like try once i get my new windshield installed
I lucked out and the guy put a new windshield in. Just something else I don't have to do.

I was reviewing my bank accounts and thought what the heck, I might as well order a dash pad. The fellow at ABC Moparts called me back to make sure I wanted a black one. Nice fellow.

great thing to spend the money on though :) Nothing worse than a bad dash pad
Or none. It looks like the PO refinished the dash but never got to the pad. Arizona car. I can imagine it wasn't pretty. One thing I didn't get was a core. Yes, something you look at everytime you get in the car.
