Need a little help with a non B-Body Mopar

2000 is a great price for that. Just climb under and check the frame at the steering box. All 60 and 70 trucks have a tendency for the frame to crack in that location. It was more common on 4x4,s because of the bigger tires but it happens to 2x4,s as well. That particular body style seems finally to be getting its due in the collector market so prices are on the rise.

That is great info aeon280! I can tell you this, I am not getting fully under it until that rat nest is gone. I do NOT want a rat in the face! Do you know for sure which year this is? Most trucks I have found in the 66 - 67 range that kind of look like this are all fleetside, I am not seeing many stepside.

Dodge didn't build all that many step side trucks. So, it has a live rats nest in it? Better check ALL wiring before buying it....

When I popped the hood, I did not see any actual rats/squirrels, but there was a large nest and lots of droppings. I am aware of the damage that can be done to wiring, but from what was visible, I did not see any of it. If I do end up getting this truck, I am sure there will be surprises, so that is why I am trying to be sure if I buy it, that I buy it right.

Just my opinion but I think D100s are gaining value. Its not going to make you rich but if you can get it for a reasonable price I dont think you will get hurt.
The C10 market has gotten crazy and factor in the patina and dare to be different crowd, the D's are gaining in popularity.

Thanks Mike, good information! I am not looking to get rich, I would actually like to keep it, but inside storage is my issue. I called the guys work number just a bit ago and got his wife (they work at the same place). I told her I left a message last Friday about the truck and she said they did not get that message, she sounded kind of pissed about that. She said the truck is for sale and she would like to "get rid of it". Music to my ears. I gave her my phone number so the husband can call and otherwise, I can meet him Friday morning at his work. I will keep you all updated.
