Need help with 4sp trans

Is the 4sp 833 with a small block bell housing the same tranmission as the 833 with a big block bell housing??? If not what's the differents between them besides the bell housing, all I've seen is the 833 4sp trans with the different bell housing.

The only difference that I know of is the bearing retainer size, and that can be swapped between trannys. Also there was an 18 and 23 spline input shaft, a small block would only use the 23 but a BB could use either. Various years have different shifter mounting locations too.

same trany, just watch input shaft spline 18 or 23, front bearing diameter, and tail shat, but small block big block isnt an issue
