Mine making some noise.

VERY nice. It strikes me that the start-up time was really short before loading the engine, though?
Same deal with shutdown after the pull - that seemed like a really abrupt kill?

It was already warmed up and had a couple short pulls on it. That was the first one to 7600.

I had a Hemi that someone rebuilt with 9.5 Compression didn’t have enough power to get away from its own shadow you should be able to go with 10.5. And run it on 91

Yeah. But that's just right for a 8-71.

So my next question is what timing gear setup to use on this build? Do I go double roller chain
or gear drive? This will be a mostly street driven car with a solid roller cam thats 258/264 @50
.638/.626 lift.

I'm sure others will chime in. but I think gear drives are typically quite noisy. For a street car, better to go with the chain.

Have been using a Milodon gear drive for 30 years

Well after cleaning and cleaning and cleaning some more the cam and crank are in! .002 clearance on the mains and .007 endplay I will put up some pics tomorrow. Pistons and rods next
