This was an 11.17 pass that day.
just be careful when the road gets wet w/ the spool. Almost the same w/ a locker tho---have driven both on the street, locker now.Spool. We run one on the street with M/T Pro bracket radials. Drives fine. Cheap and strong.

I'm a casual racer unlike many on this forum, but I chose the Eaton Truetrac because of its unique design and outstanding performance on the street and strip for the Quick Performance Ford based highly optioned 9" in the GTO.Alright guys, one more question.
Opinions please, Eaton Truetrac or Detroit Locker?
Understood. I commented because I was not aware of the engineering in the Eaton, and I wanted to throw that comment out there. It's really nice, but maybe not right for you, I don't know.My car probably sees no more than 500 street miles a year.

This setup had a spool, MW billet cap/adjusters and housing brace. To the OP: What upgrades were done with your 8-3/4?
Got my s trac and s 60 from dr diff as wellThe Strange S trac is what I run in my S60, works great !!! it cost a little more . Dr Diff can fix you up with the proper S60.
This is a cautionary tale for me. I have gone low eleven as well, on slicks, but with a totally stock 8 3/4 with a clutch suregrip and stock axles. My only saving grace is that my car doesn't 60 ft well. This setup had a spool, MW billet cap/adjusters and housing brace.

It looks like a Dr diff s-60 is in my future as well.
Mine's 3250, 3450 with me in it. I currently use a 3.91 and a Detroit locker. Fairly light is probably the only reason it's still in one piece. How heavy is your car? My car weighs 3830-3850# depending on how much fuel is in it.
Drag radials are harder on parts than slicks are.
