Sure love the way that it's going ( maybe not as fast as you'd like ) but I sure hope that you get your dream house ! ! I'm jealous, I always wanted to do the same thing, and I really like the way it turning out so far . . . may have to hit you up to come and see that beauty in person ! ! !

Couple of new pictures. The roof is done & all but 2 windows and doors are in. The elevator is to the right of the staircase with all the planks laying across the opening....

Residence elevators are limited to 15 square feet in floor area by national code. Ours is going to measure 3'-4" wide X 4'-6" deep.

Don't forget, this house is the Garage Mahal, not the Taj Mahal and the staircase will be far from being the focal point of the house, but it'll look nice when done. I hope. The staircase is in the front entrance foyer to the left of the elevator. 7 steps up to a landing, turn 180 degrees and 7 steps more to the top.

Funny, I am in the process of building my own Garaj Mahaul. The house plan says on it Garage Mahal. But we changed it to be spelled Garaj Mahaul. To play off Taj and Haul, as in all the cars in it that will Haul ***. It's about 1800 sq ft with 12 ft ceilings and an almost 500 st ft room built into the trusses for storage. The house is 2800 sq ft single story.

I've often said that it the ideal home would be to have all garage space on the ground level & living space above. Well, my dream may becoming reality as I'm about 99% certain that my wife & I are going to purchase this horsey garage and renovate it into our new home. Stay tuned.......
