If the engine has a lot of mileage, go one step thicker in viscosity.

VR1 in 10-w30 for me. That zrod amsoil looks interesting.

I use 20W60 with a huge amount of zinc in it. 80 pounds of oil pressure at idle!!!
I had mine from a private custom oil shop. My engine really loves it

80 at idle, amazed you haven't blown a filter case open.

I ran a couple quarts of 20w-50 and saw more metal on my magnet. No more for me. It was the same vr1 as the 10w-30 that was the other quarts. I thought it’d give some more hot weather protection, but I think it just robbed parts of oil on cold starts. My theory anyway.
