ONLY 18 of the coolest factory hood scoops according to this Hagerty article; but what do they know?

69 RR N96 hood is cool too, not a scoop perse
the fresh air scoops inserts, usually with orange mesh
& engine cid or Hemi call outs on the sides

GM's Chevy, cowl induction scoops were really popular
many were actually functional too
up into 1968 & 1969 Vettes,
69 & later way into 70's Z28 or 70 Chevelles SS
& 1980 Z28 was even functional, the car was a turd 180hp "net"
but had a functional cowl hood scoop vacuum switch-operated
with engine call outs on it too :poke:

The coolest hood scoop is the one you are looking at, driving down an empty highway on a late afternoon/early summer evening, that perfect time of the day for cruising.

the 69.5 A12 440-6bbl Liftoff are hands down the best IMO

the AAR hood/scoop is also a favorite
(even if the real ones/hood all bent, because of the springs)

the 68 LO23 Dart's & BO29 Barracuda's scoops are bad *** too

& the TRX looks cool also or new Hellcat or Demon caught my eye

that Hagerty list isn't very inclusive at all
for an "all time best/coolest hood/scoop list"
seems like it's a best of/cool scoops, for that specific writer

it's not my "best of or let alone coolest scoop" list

that's my opinion, it's not up for negotiations either

oops, see?
As Budnicks says...
YES!
-Another great hood Scoop!
Yes, a truly great design and functional

First would be the Viper hoods, then the AAR followed by the TA as far as style goes, however the Challenger and Cuda rally hoods as right there as well. A12 for pure functionality. Worst is the shakers I have to say (and I am an E body guy). Always disliked them but then had to remove once to tune a 6 pack and then I really couldn't stand them really in any form other than perhaps the Trans Am version which seems to flow with the car.

I really like the 4th gen T/A scoops. WS6 or Firehawk. I'm actually looking for one to buy. I think I should do this mod.

I'm disappointed in you guys. Why hasn't anyone mentioned the scrubbing board scoop on the 1967 Coronet R/T?

Because that is not a scoop it’s an ornament. It’s a dummy, doesn’t scoop anything. And I own one.

And this 1969 Torino Talledega NEVER came with a scoop. It was added later.
