Life will go on and not one person has been forced to get rid of a 1500 dollar car for a 40 thousand dollar one. They lost remember.

I’m talking specifically about the cash for clunkers program that WAS implemented years ago. It had a real effect on the market and the price of cars and parts.

I started my trucking career in the analog era. Paper logs for monitoring hours of service were referred to as "comic books." You could run all the hours you could stay awake. Dispatchers had no idea where trucks were, once they left the yard. Truly the wild frontier. GPS tracking happened, and turned the industry upside down. With the technology in place, it was inevitable that electronic monitoring of hours worked was going to happen. Many old timers quit in 2018 when the mandate became law.

Years before the mandate was enacted, I figured out how to make a good living with legal runs. When the game changed, I capitalized on it. I didn't like it, but I kept making money for five more years, guys who refused to deal with it left a lot of money on the table.
