oldbee I`m sorry that your thread has been derailed some but I thought this might help some out who may not of had the opportunity to go on the great vacation across the pond some of us went and came home so did not have that opportunity to come in the same the same mind set some did not come home some came home wounded and came home with mental strains and for all the ones that came home in a box ,it has been one long haul for me , thanks to all I am very proud to have been part of it , I feel nothing but pain for all that are in there own club since and ones still coming , we are the elite we all have served a great cause no matter what branch of service , what misses me off the most are the ones that left this country and then where pardon so they may come home this is for you **** YOU !
Derailed thread? Got way more than I thought. High school classmate(76 graduated,so it was small!) came home the wrong way in '68-69. Was a crushing blow but I touched him at the Wall in D.C. yrs later. Just saw another at class reunion(lives in Ariz.) that got hit by machine gun & lost rt arm below the elbow.

The names confuse even my smart phone.
I got through second episode last night. That's what interest me more. I've had my entire life hearing about from 66 on. But what let to that is somewhat confusing.
I always knew that Kennedy and SV Pres. were assassinated within 3 weeks of each other. Has to be more than coincidence.
Also clear how much better a leader Kennedy was than LBJ.
