Hi everyone, back to this awesome forum with more questions.

Last week I purchased a set of Pertronix flame thrower 7mm "stock look" ignition wires (#708101), for several reasons. The main one was to clean up the engine bay and be able to work around my Hooker headers. My current OE Autozone set had to be replaced about once a year due to plugs wires 5 and 7 getting fried. This new set has 90 degree end boots and can run underneath the header. The day that I replaced the wires the car ran great. However the next day when parking on my driveway I noticed the engine was idling significantly higher, from 900 at park in idle to about 1200 rpm. The engine vacuum also increase 20 mercury inches of vacuum to 23... Could the new high performance wires be what is increasing the idle RPM's? If so I think all I would need to do is adjust the idle screw on the carb down a bit.

On a sidenote, the wires do look they are very high quality and well made. They have a nice click when connecting to plugs and cap.
