Pick your restorer carefully, or are show cars not meant to be operated?

I believe it was.Basic 383 Bee.It's been awhile maybe 5 to7 years? You know the parts vendors throw many parts at the magazine builds. Now you got me thinking it may have had aftermarket air hence the pulley problems.
He also had to foot the bill for luxury tax.....40% of whatever they appraised it at....

I had a couple Vettes in my day.Went to ONE show. Never did anything with Corvettes again.......
My point exactly.....each area has those knuckleheads around.......It has never been Mopar specific as another is trying to state it is....

I find more enjoyment in cruising than sitting at a show for a weekend, all day, or four hours....My show is guided by my foot:thumbsup: Or sitting in the garage drinking a brew or two with a friend!

the funny thing is you will never hear this one!

unless you are doing a true oe restoration,
you are a hack and any joe blow can do the same exact thing that you are!

yeah i'm sure that would make me many friends on here but
its almost how i feel when i hear the bullshit thrown at oe restorations..

the point is
people should respect what others do more!
throwing those gripes around only exposes your own shortcomings!

i'm building a oe restoration car
and you know what award it is going to win?
the spitting rocks on the loser that gets in my way on the road award!
i highly doubt it will ever get into any kind of show in my ownership
awards, judging isn't what i care or give 2 shits about
the trophy is the car..

had a 59 vette for a few years
i only got it because it was cheap and had sat a long time in a garage
i got it mechanically sound (needed complete drivetrain and suspension )
and it still could use more
it drove like a truck, leaked water bad when it got caught in the rain
and i never really liked it much after i got it going.
but i only got it rolling and the rest still needed some help
for chasing other cars
i just sold it after the novelty wore off
and i did make out very well
