Pics from Back in the Day

I’m sure This has been posted before but it’s a good one.

Am I ever glad that jacked-up-in-the-rear look back in the day fell from favor. I hated it back then and still do. I like a gentle nose-down rake as much as the next guy, but those rear tires shouldn't be stuck out inches past the quarters with half a foot of space in the fenders.

Nowadays, at least in my local area, it's rig rocket pickups with fat, low-profile tires protruding several inches from the wheelwells that irks the crap out of me. I can't understand why people think that looks good.

Also tires that get lost in rear wheel wells. Like someone had 30" slicks then put on 26" street tires.

True, the jacked-up look is just as bad (to my eyes) as the bone-stock muscle-car look, with anorexic-looking 7" pinwheels and skinny tires on the rear...has that sunken-in look like someone with no teeth does when they're not wearing their dentures.
