Thanks! They are flow-tech cheapos. They serve the purpose, but not real happy with them. They hang too low... scrape over bumps in the road. Had to get higher profile tires for more clearance. I'm actually looking for original manifolds to put back on it. Then I'll get the whole exhaust re-done from the manifolds back.Nice Coronet!
May i ask you what type/brand headers you got there? Block huggers?
Looks clean...and also much more maintenance friendly.
Engage your brain-pan for headers, had 2-1/8” Hookers way back when and a combination of sockets & wrenches works great(while cold!).I got the Hooker-style headers, not sure what brand it really is but as they are making life very hard with leaks.
Also pulling a spark plug becomes a challenge on it's own with them things so i am sniffing around for a future improvement that can be made.
Original manifolds do give some space back between engine and fenders which is all you really need.
But they will take 10-15 hp off the total
Yeah I know, sucks, but I'm a "stock" kinda guy. I also have leaks with the flow techs. I've heard great things about TTI headers as well as Doug's, but get your wallet ready!!I got the Hooker-style headers, not sure what brand it really is but as they are making life very hard with leaks.
