Picture of my old 69 Bee

Fixed it. Must have had a good parking brake. That's a steep hill.

Cream and tan is a rather unusual color combo for a 69 bee.

Cream and tan was a recommended combination.

One does not come across a lot of Y3 Cream '69 Bees. I have only five Y3 Bees on file but all of them have the H2T interior.

Intetesting, you have 5 regestered and according to the production numbers there were only 6 made. My old one could be the missing link.

I don't run a registry. I'm just a guy that collects a lot of data on 69 B bodies.

As production numbers of color and interior combinations were, to my knowledge, not tracked in 69, it's hard to envision anyone knowing exactly how many were made. (Even with factory records, there is still a lot of gray area when it comes to production figures)

It's highly unlikely I have found five of the six supposedly made. It's more likely that there were 'a bunch' made and I have simply run across five in that particular combination.

I'd be interested in knowing your source of production numbers.

Click on 69 Bee then "by the numbers ". Thete's a breakdown by color then by transmission.

Those are only the cars he knows of; not what was produced.

He's come across six cars painted that color. I've come across five. Galen or someone else may have 20 on file. We don't know. All of us may know of the same cars and we may not.

There could be hundreds of cars neither one of us knows about.

I think it's safe to say that given the total number of cars both of us have info on, Y3 Bees are not common to find. Since we do not know total factory production numbers, we'll never know how many were produced or in what combination they were made.

Thanks for the clarification. The term "known to exist" would be a correct assumption.

Known to exist TO THAT PERSON. I probably have cars no one else knows about and someone else has cars I don't know about.

I know there are several (many?) of us that collect the same info. I do wish there was a way we could work together and consolidate all the data into one very large data base.

I do like the Y3/H2T combination. It's too bad you do not see more of them.
