"Please S T O P saying this" thread.

Thank you, sir (Ulli, that’s how I was raised). I was raised to treat with respect and kindness until it wasn’t warranted. I raised my kids that respect is more important than love. Someone can say they love you but, how they respect and treat you, is the true definition of love. Everything you wrote is true and I think if more people believed that, this world would be a better place. No one is above anyone just because they have money or self perceived power. There will always be people who take advantage of others, whether they have money or not. That’s a fact of life, they both feel for whatever reason it is their right. Opinions are just that, look at what the person is, how they treat others and how they live their life. It’s easy to say things to make themselves sound good, look at how they interact in the real world, that’s the real test.
My bet, your daughter is just as proud of you, as you are of her! We all need to be worked on and we all are hopeless in certain ways but, from what I’ve read, you’re a hell of a person and I’m sure there are many people who feel the same. Take care and stay the man you are, we need more of them!
She's a damn site smarter than these self proclaimed language experts. Opinion are like armpit, we all have one and they all can stink, that includes mine. Some were wasting their time working with their hands, they should be teaching each other's children in an educational environment, not mine, mind you. Sounds like the liberal brainwashing they hate so much, do as I say or you're not smart enough to live among the masses. It's just my turn to play with the less fortunate today. I find it easy and somewhat entertaining.

American TV always gives us a semi-Wisconsin accent and nobody, in no part of Canada actually sound like that.
If you want real Canadian language, you need to visit Prince Albert Saskatchewan IMO

Kinda like what I do, just in a more sophisticated way. Sophisticated, was never one of my strong points, towards certain people, blatantly blunt fits that scenario much better.

^^^^^ This! That has to be the most annoying, overused, unimaginative comment on the internet. It’s time is done, it’s time to put it away. I’ve occasionally replied with “your friend is a moron”.
Taking note of which buttons members have here, for a friend.

If I knew more people with similar interests

Might I recommend:

Please stop saying "bold-faced lie"

It's "bald-faced lie" or "bare-faced lie"

Probably incorrectly used by the same people that say "mute point" instead of "moot point". :poke:

Anyway, as far as cars go, stop saying Cordova. It's Cordoba.

Hey, let's do a combo:D:

I added duel exhaust and new breaks to my Cordova after replacing the dizzy. Maybe I'll get an eddy intake and holly carb after I pay off the old lady's Camero.

It's I saw, not "I seen". As in I seen an accident yesterday, nope, I saw an accident yesterday.

It is fun to laugh at the people we see that are easily triggered. When they wig out and over-react at something that doesn't bother most people, it reminds me of a little kid that cries when he doesn't get the candy that he wants.
But.....
THIS statement would really piss me off to hear someone say out loud....

"I added duel exhaust and new breaks to my Cordova after replacing the dizzy. Maybe I'll get an eddy intake and holly carb after I pay off the old lady's Camero."

Now, duel, holly and Camero are spelling errors but the other flubs are annoying to hear and enough to annoy me.
How about "Front grille"...?
What Mopar has a REAR grille? Ma Mopar didn't build rear engine cars like VWs and Corvairs. The grille is always in front.
Do you say GLASS window? How about Reflective mirror? Friction brakes?
No, you don't because those terms are redundant. The grilles are always in the front so adding the word FRONT is not necessary.

Maybe I'll toss on an eddy intake and holly carb

Please stop saying "toss on", especially if it's an action that requires significant work or calibration.

Wait...just stop saying it period.

I'll add...Hit me back in reference to contacting me.
I don't know why that annoys me but it does.
Some of the phrases that people use that are annoying are ones that were trendy and popular for awhile and have lost their luster.
We went on a date, then she ghosted me....
The term ghosted was clever for a short time but is fading fast.

Mary says that she often hears That is a good question when she encounters a procedural issue at work and goes to a manager to correct it.
Yeah....It IS a good question because I am not an idiot.
I think that people say this when they have NO answer and never even thought that the issue would be a problem. They don't want to appear stupid by saying I don't know so they say this...
I've thought about the people that say It is what it is. This is often mentioned when someone encounters an imperfect situation. I've determined that the "It is what it is" is the lazy way to say It isn't ideal but it is what I have to work with.

Anyway, I believe some people use it to mean they have no control over the situation.

Otherwise, yes to them being lazy.

Has anyone mentioned the phrase Not for nothin' ?
Holy crap that is an ignorant sounding phrase.
