Running NGK BKR5EIX-11 plugs in a 440 with 440 source heads, hydraulic roller cam, Edelbrock performer RPM intake AVS2 carb and Mopar distributor and a FBO box and stock exhaust manifolds in a 4 speed car. Plugs out of the box are gapped at .040, run them like that or re gap to .035

How many KV coil is it? Makes a huge difference. how the spark is gapped.

Many aftermarket ignitions suggest a wider gap. .040 to .060 in some cases.

I'm running the FBO box instead of the Mopar box. In order to maintain the warranty on the FBO box you have to run a Pertronix coil with 1.5 ohms of resistance

you can get coils 1.5 ohm from 28 k (stock) to 55 k that i have dealt with.

That FBO Box , why does he state the Pertronix 1.5 OHM Canister Oil Filled

I have tested that Pertronix 1.5 OHM Coil and was not impressed with the quality of the plastic cap or cover where the terminals + - came out - Had two of those coils crack or split the plastic , but that was years ago

Maybe it was the Chinese Oil or Plastic

Never used another
