Thanks for the information Mike what Im trying to do is not necessarily go significantly a lot faster but, get all the ET and mpr out of what I have now. Yes money is a little tight only comes every couple of weeks at a time so that's the deal here I want to do it right though. Thanks again Lenny

This is just my opinion, but your SS springs will do just fine. On regular street tires you'll be lucky to get under 2.00 60' times. If your pinion angle is correct & you are not unloading the rear suspension, DOT drag tires or 9" slicks should be enough to go 1.70-1.80 60' times.

Consistency is the key. Not another tenth. Remember you race against yourself

I also use 90/10 shocks up front on my street car and I drive it alot on the street. I use SS springs with the longer MP rear shocks and no pinion snubber. With my old 440 that was about 500 flywheel hp I ran 11.49 @ 116 with a 1.57 best 60 ft. With the same suspension and converter and my 440/493 in my 63 it has hit 10.70's at almost 125 with a 1.50 best 60. I would think if you can get mid 11's with about a 1.60 best 60 ft you will be doing good. Good luck , Ron

I have to agree on it not being a big deal to run the 90/10 shocks on the street.

OK...so maybe I am wrong about 90/10's (front shocks) not being suited for the street. I have the complete Cal Trac Setup / Cal Trac Mono Leaf RR Springs / Cal Trac 9 Way Adj RR shocks / Cal Trac Bars / Cal Trac 90/10 Front Shocks with 5 1/2" of front end travel...and it was just my thoughts that the 90/10 front shocks go up and dont really like to come down....so I was just thinking they would be crappy for the street...I dont really drive mine on the street much so I dont really know...I was just thinking....thanks, Mike

I am having trouble convincing my wife the track is where my car needs to be, she thinks its more show than go and is worried that I will destroy it. I haven't not the soft rubber tires yet waiting for calmer waters.
