What do you have for a fuel system? Where is your timing at? What jets? Seems like a sweet low buck deal!

So haven't been out to the track since January. But fixed the brakes and did the front suspension and it was finally time to get back out there. Ran a 7.95 @ 85 with a 1.7 60ft! I'm stoked on that number. Here I am racing my buddy who we have been bench racing for quiet some time now. He beat me by only .5 sec's and every other pass he made that day he would have lost(5 speed, missing 2nd).

Here's a video, I tried to do the burn out in 2nd and it didnt work out too good, the rest of the day I did a 1-2 shift and it was much better. 2nd pass was pretty much identical to the 1st pass, and the last pass the car hooked and I thought it broke so I got out of it, realized it didnt break and got back in it, still ran an 8.0. Anyway, this should equate to low 12's, so I'm very happy about that. Might try nitrous soon, I want to be at 7.50's and that's it.

So I finally made it to a Mopar vs Mopar night at the track tonight ( Friday). I made it to the final 5 cars only to break out by 059. Car went 12.46 on a 12.52 dial in which is the fastest et to date, also my fastest 60ft time of 1.76. Car ran 12.51 and 12.54 for my qualifying runs. All in all a fun night.
Edit. I was looking over the time slip of the last run and saw that the 70 Challenger also broke out by 026 and ran 11.58 on a 11.61 dial in. This Lady (Sylvia) is a bracket racer here at the track so I knew I had my work
cut out. I cut an .0357 tree to her .0445.
I posted my combo earlier but here it is again.
440 30 over KB pistons 10.6 compression stock crank rods and block

Edelbrock rpm heads w/oversize valves out of the box

I took the R/T out to the track on sunday to make a test run or two. Only got one pass in as there were many breakdowns and clean ups. I made a nice easy pass shifting at 5000 rpms and ran a 12.8 @ 105 mph. I was ok with that knowing I took it easier then normal. The car sounded and checked out fine but I noticed some smoke out the rear until about 3/4 track. I figured I was burning the residue off the headers. I had just checked the bearings and replaced the gear drive with a chain and towed it to the track so it didn't have time to burn the headers clean. I drove it home instead of towing it because it seemed fine. but a few blocks from home I heard what sounded like a lifter noise then all of a sudden it sounded like a spark plug came out. I pulled over and towed it home. I lost oil pressure to the rail as it broke at the 4th hold down bolt. I have the run on Utube so I hope the link works.

Seems to me there's a lot of love in that car. Good job and great looking to boot. I just went out last night after 6 months off due to some mechanical and knees issues. I ran one pass at 10.46 just to chack out the car. the next pass was ok but I didnt push it since I was late on my light knowing not point. I need to get my head back into the light thing. I was happy with both runs car ran well nothing broke nothing had a small vac leak easy fix. Put it on the trailer going to go over all my nuts and bolts and get ready to get serious.
