Preference on Tires?

The lighting is not the same as your car’s photo but here are vitamin C cars with RWL tires I found online to give you an idea for your car. I posted your car photo as well so you could view them together.

Yeah, I've looked at online photos too, & I'm warming up to the RWL tires.

Don't cringe... but I'm also considering adding the Plymouth decal on the rear quarters. I know this was a Superbird thing, but it's also something that I thought was way cool as a kid (& I remember seeing "Dodge" & "Mustang" decals on the quarters of cars too).

Maybe the RWL will breakup all the orange & black?

Hey, Petty ran that decal on his NON-Superbird Roadrunner....

A lot of guys ran that decal on non Superbirds. I like the day 2 look on our cars. And it's a decal - you can always easily remove it to put it back to original. Go for it if you want - it's your car.

BFG 215 70/15s front and 275 60/15 rear. 2% car(114"WB).

Just my $0.02, but I'd pass. Not on a '69 Runner.

I’d pass on the Plymouth decal too. Yes - you could remove it but need to take into account paint fade around it. Like we always say... it’s your car do as you like.... she’s a beauty.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. The 15" Magnums are, after-all, "Day 2" as well.

I also have the 1970's pistol grip on this '69 4spd RR. I absolutely love that, since my '70 Charger R/T had that when I was 18 years old. But, yeah, it's looking like some kid is just having fun with his car.

That being said, I'm very much a "stock" guy... no exotic mods... but Torque Thrusts or Cragers (or those big quarter panel decals)... that's what we saw all over the place when we were kids, right?

those red lines have a t/a tread pattern. I do like the retro muscle car look; like the magnum 500 wheels.

actually you didn't see many torque thrusts. they were too expensive and not easy to buy. cragars and keystones could have been bought about anywhere for half the price. Sears even sold magnum 500's but they were a little pricey if bought from a retail vendor. the steel wheel small hub cap thing wasn't that common. everyone wanted aftermarket wheels.

As mentioned the Goodyear GTII tires haven't been available for quite some time now. Still have them on the Super Bee in 235-60 up front, and 255-60 in the rear. I like the look.

Since I've not been able to get the Goodyear GTII's I've been buying the Mickey Thompson S/T tires, and have no complaints on the '68 Coronet, 235-60 all around so I can rotate them.

Sorry about the double post of the Super Bee. Not sure what happened there.

Thanks for the photos! Your Bee has my setup exactly (but my RWL are mounted inward, from 2003). Wish I could get that bold "Goodyear" lettering today. The Mickey's RWL aren't as bold, it seems (more letters = smaller?).
I've been looking at a lot of photos online & it seems like the most popular RWL are the Cooper Cobras or the BFG Radial T/A's. I'll likely go with one of those, & probably keep my 255/60 rear, 235/60 front setup.
Great looking Bee & Coronet !!

I personally like the BFG TA for road. Looks good. Good price and performs well. I have not had the best luck with Good Years. From Eagle performance to their slicks. They look and perform great. But don't last a hoot.
