Price gougers study

We can resume talking about how those price gougers are going to hell for eternity for overcharging us for Mopar parts! Lol

We have a free market economy that is mostly good but comes with some bad. We are free to spend our money and buy/sell things how we want as are others. Some are in this hobby because they love it, others to make money and others everywhere in between. You can b$tch about it or just be OK with how it is.

And bitch I will, but like what has happened to Bud Light, they can be stuck with stuff they can't sell. The consumer has the last word at the end of the day!

I was the guy who was giving parts away for free, and I got no takers. I finally gave them to a friend of mine.

I tried to get AMD to make them, and offered up a pair of Texas fenders I had to template them from, all I could get them to make was the front valence pan, I loaned them my NOS one to template it from.
I have wondered about merging the front of a '70 fender with the back of a '68 or '69.
The unique '70 front section needs this much:

This would retain the marker lamp hole, the contour for the valance panel and the leading edge.
The '68 or '69 fender is essentially the same inside of the black line below.

Both of these cars are '70 year models but it shouldn't matter. The bodyman should measure a stock '70 fender to properly establish the overall length and placement of the mounting holes, the flange that the headlights attach, etc.
It could be mounted to a car before welding to verify fitment.
I'd be much more willing to spend $1500 on new AMD fenders to modify rather than to justify the obscene asking price of a greedy seller.

I think that you would have to cut the fender in the middle of the wheel well opening to make it work. The 68/69 fenders taper in towards the grille more than the 70 fenders do.

Think so?
I'd need to measure them side by side to believe it.

if they have the curved brace like the other B bodies, I'm thinking that would be the place to make the splice........while everything is bolted tight to the car

and patiently weld, cooling each tack....... that's a big splice

I'd be all over that chit, do it KD! :poke:

I only have but two spare fenders. One is a mess, the other is just dented toward the front. I'd buy spares if they became available at a fair price.
One guy on this forum advertised a '70 taillight trim panel for $600 a few months back. Reality set him straight when awhile later, the price came down a LOT.
