Hughes knows his stuff, so does Todd Marsch at Marsch performance, the new owners of Indy cylinder head very easy to get along with and help full. I spent my money with them. It was cheaper and better service. Hughes must be really good to stay in the game this long I guess.

It was, I was following her home in my truck and wonder where the hell she was going! The Dutch anger that went with the "f you" was priceless.Priceless.
We've staged lots of pictures on their lot just to state, these are the only good Chrysler products to cross their lot!
When I bought my latest phone a couple of years ago - Samsung S22, I also bought a set of screen protectors and an anti-shock holder.
I thought I would go to the local mall and get the Chinese guy to apply the screen protector for me, as it is very easy to get a speck of dust on the face if you're not careful.
I handed him my phone and protector and asked to him fit it. I was the only customer, and the Mall was nearly empty. He refused and said "We don't install customer supplied protectors" (in his Chinese accent of course)
I said that's OK, sell me one of yours and install it. He said they didn't have any in stock. To which I replied, "Oh look, I have one right here"
He still wouldn't do it for me.
So I told him to shove his phone covers and his pop-up stand up his arse, and that I will never shop with him again, and walked off.
I went home and did it myself.....still got a speck of dust under the cover to this day.

When I was in business I had a guy call me wanting a small piece of plexiglass. If I have scraps lying around I sell them cheap and I told the guy I wanted $5 for the piece. He says "pffft, I thought you'd give it to me". I replied "what have you ever given me?" End of conversation. Next closest place to find the stuff is an hour and a half round trip - and they charge full whack for everything !!! Good luck asshole.
No, not at all. I said I would pay him (not mentioned in the story).
When he said No the first time, I offered to pay him double the going rate!
He still refused.
Just as a side-note, we obviously don't know anything about each other.
I am one of the most generous guys I know (modesty aside).
If you need proof of that....just ask some of the people here.

My wife done the exact same thing @dadsbee wife done to the T. My wife went to a well known dealer here in town and was very specific what type Challenger she wanted. Of course they showed her everything on the lot. She told the salesman she didn’t want his stock.
She explained that she wanted to order her car because it was a birthday gift to herself.
Well they go back to the showroom to his cubicle to talk about financials. She tried to tell him she didn’t need his financing that she was paying cash. Well some smart *** in the other cubicle says, she’s not going to by a car from you Jimmy. Carter that is, no sheet.
My wife stood up and said, you’re right and walked out.
She went down to another town and ordered her car.
When she got the phone call that her car was delivered and ready for pick up we drove down to pick it up. On the way home I was following her and she merged the wrong way on the interstate. I called her and ask where was she going and her reply to me was I’m going to Dodge land. I just said oh crap. She pulled right up front and wouldn’t you know it, here comes Jimmy. She rolled the window down and said your buddy just cost you a $40,000 dollar car sale. Sounds familiar doesn’t it Wayne @dadsbee

As I discovered when I custom ordered my 94 1500 Dodge, it's considered a sold unit. Means they don't have to deal with what's called "flooring". Since it's a sold unit, the dealer gets an extra discount on it since it's a done deal. No need to deal with lot rot. After 90 days or so, if it's not sold, the dealer has to buy it from the manufacture. The guy who ordered my truck told me there was a change in the price of the order and I figured, oh boy here it comes. Nope, he dropped the price.
Yes there is incentive for them to push what's on hand but if they don't want to get what you want, spend your money elsewhere. The dealer I ended up working at was my first stop for pricing. A couple of stories.
1974 a friends father who didn’t really believe in following peoples belief in being sheep.
Wanted to purchase a fur coat for his wife for Christmas. Went to the local fur coat people, and asked about purchasing one. Owner said come back when you can afford it. City of 10,00.
He got into his new 74 Oldsmobile drove 130 miles to another city and got her coat.
Came back and took his wife to the original store with her coat on and said (I BOUGHT) and walked out.
Next. Woman I worked with went to our local Toyota dealer to buy a 1984 Supra. They asked her if her father could confirm her affordability. She was 24 years old or so and had a University degree.
She drove 140 miles and got a Supra. Came back and said, somebody trusted me.
Fall 1991 we decided to purchase a new 1992 Toyota 4Runner. I asked for quotes from Saskatchewan to British Columbia. The highest was here. We bought it 90 miles away, 2800.00 our dollars. Local dealer wanted 32,000.00. My acquaintance went to the local dealer told them about our purchase, they said that’s untrue. The dealer here had an opinion that our vehicles sell themselves.
The best thing was their service department was exceptional. Our son has being all of our work for 22 years now.
Hope I haven’t put everyone to sleep.
