They closed down the guys restaurant the day before St Patricks day in south Boston! He's going to take a big hit! He probably has a few hundred pounds of corned beef, cabbage and green beer, with no customers allowed in his establishment!
Since it was a post in your thread (good job and great progress on the non#s motor) I just had the factory leaf springs that were in when I bent the round Mancini pinion snubber on my first run replaced with the Calvert split mono leaf springs. I'm also using sliders in place of the shackles, and that usually lifts the rear about a half inch or so. Well I know it needs to "settle" but the rear came up 2½" so I'm further convinced the old springs were worn. When I installed Mancini's top of the line pinion snubber on my Dana 60 in my 70 Roadrunner, there wasn't much room even with the vertical threaded snubber screwed all the way down (as short as it gets). That may be one indication of what I suspect are worn out factory original HP leaf springs. Then the horizontal component of the snubber bracket bent on the first run, and again on the 2nd run to where I had to remove it. That made me think that the springs were shot.
I sure will!Let me know how you like the Calvert setup.
