Hi guys and gals!

First of all, sorry for my crappy english, I´m from Sweden.

I have a 1965 Belvedere II, with a 273/904 combo.
Now when the polar bears are roaming the streets, I´m putting together a 273 with a little more power in it.

So, now comes my question.
Headers.

Will headers fit from B bodies...say -66 and up?
TTI headers are too expensive for my liking.
Thinking Flowtech (and similar) here.

Thanks in advance!
Btw, where can I post i pic of my ride?
It´s a bit custom. ;)

generally speaking, v-8's in the 62-65 b-bodies sit about 1 1/2" further forward and i think about 1/2" further to the passenger side than '66 and up b-body v-8s. i'm basing this on my two cars, a 65 dodge coronet and a 69 dodge coronet both with big blocks. there is a noticeable difference in where the engine sits in the chassis. generally the headers for a '66 and up car will hit the steering linkage somewhere. tti headers usually are not body-year specific with the exception of the 1 7/8" big block headers. your english is fine, maybe better than most americans, and posting a pic in this thread would be great. i really like early b's. lastly, welcome!

In my 64 polara, I pulled out the wideblock 318 and put in a 360, utilizing a set of wide block motor mounts... hedders I have were used, but they are identical to the ones in my dads 70 satellite and fit in my 68 barracuda with the 360 in it. Cleared everything just like they were made for it...

Thanks for the info!
Thinking of buying those headers on eBay. :blob1:

I must also say thanks on the languagebit, warms a Swedish heart to hear!

Well, back to the headers.
I was thinking about these:

And one more general question, is there a whole that differs between the -65 and 66/67 B bodies?

Here are a couple of pics of the -65 Belvedere.
Stripped away the door handles, and emblems.
Lil´ Daddy Roth Bong Water Green flake on the roof and mouldings.
Custom Grill, and just a tad lower.

I just installed TTI headers in my 64 Fury -now a 440 car.The headers fit fine-had to install the mini starter then tighten the header-a small challenge. However the X-pipe exhaust system really sucks-doesn't fit and I'm not happy with TTI right now. Will call them on Monday to possibly forgetting about the X-pipe.

Joel:
That sucks, big time!
I thought that the TTI stuff would be great, since they are´nt exactly cheap.
Godd luck on monday, raise some hell!!

So, the great issues with the cheaper headers (not TTI ;) ) is that the engine sits a bit further forward?
Right now, I´m thinking Shorty Headers.
Would that be an option?
Read somewhere that the full length headers gets out more top end power, and shortys for more torque.

Has anyone here ran with the shorty headers?
Thanks in advance.

Btw, I have power steering.

I've got TTIs on my 64. They hang way too low and have dragged a bunch of times. Thinking of switching to Schumachers which are shorties, though longer than other shorties...

I'll post if there's a noticeable difference in power.

Wow I have the TTI 2" headers and the full 3" X-pipe system and it fits great. Has never rubbed at all even over speed bumps. Ron
