I assume the Daytona 's have them as well. I just never owned one, so I never paid much attention to them. Mine seems to have black silicone between it and the windshield. I assume this is a make fix, and mother Mopar did something better, but you never know. Some of the silicone looks like it has been there awhile, and I assume there was a need to keep the air from getting underneath them, and flipping them out into the breeze. Water coming of the wipers as well could cause problems
Anyone know what the proper fix is, and anyone have close up pictures of the right fix. Is it just the clips that hold them on or something else?. DSC05154.jpg

Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I'm admiring your Charger 500!

Need some pictures of what your talking about

I believe he is talking about the big chrome trim piece that is on the a pillar. I never noticed them either

I don't think there should be any silicone at all. It should have 3 retainer clips according to the restoration guide

You are right, the wide pieces of chrome at the A-pillars. I will put up some pictures in a little while. I will go snap some close ups.

Here is what I was referring to.

Thank you so much. This is a great thread you posted, and it answered all my questions.
They all looked like **** around the windshield and air deflector from the start. This is more than likely the original gobbed up mess from Creative Industries.
Makes me feel better that it is original and I can tell a story to the people that point it out.

You are welcome. That is a very good site when it comes to 500's and Wing cars. A lot of good info.

The windshield thing is difficult. It likely is factory. If you search that site you will see pictures of other factory survivor cars and that is how they look. Problem is, explaining to every Chevy guy that walks by that this is actually correct.

Basically Creative used the equivalent to 3M Window Ribbon Sealer ( like the stuff used to seal rear windows ). They didn't use RTV/Silicon. I have it both on my Charger Daytona and 500..

anyone making these wind deflectors?
Thanks.
