Radar a Detector which one?

I have had an Escort X-max 7800 or some **** like that for around 5 years now and I love it.

For 400 bucks? I'd rather just slow down and obey the laws than trying to dodge the cops while breaking the Law. Maybe it's me but, A fool and his money, are easily departed seems to apply here. Good Luck

Keep in mind the majority of speeding tickets are in 35 and 45mph zones. These are mainly for revenue generation. Arizona has a 11mph over law before a citation can be issued, but elsewhere a 6mph over can generate $200 all in the name of safety.

The passport has a red light and photo radar database, so it's value is more than just a radar detector.

The days of a radar detector being a license to speed are over, but if you don't lead the pack the radar detector will be of benefit.

Nevada Desert. Open range. No cars or people for over one hour. 80 in a 55. Tribal Police in the middle of ******* nowhere with a radar gun. Radar beep was a shock. If not for Valentine would have been nabbed. No beer on the Reservation. Valentine 1 paid for itself right there right now.

While Waze is a great app (especially if you live in large metro city or by a busy expressway) using Waze in CONJUNCTION with a GOOD radar detector is unstoppable. Until the entire law enforcement community uses lasers, detectors won’t be obsolete. Just junk detectors will be.

They have some kind of production issue for over 6 months now. Have to go to another brand. $300 or so ok.

Dennis, Valentine has been waiting for parts to start reproducing for 9 months now. They just recently got their order of parts in and stated they would be releasing new updated V1s soon. Don’t forget about eBay. I got 2 modern V1s off eBay for the 275-325 range

I use a V1 in my old car just to keep the old 80s look. I use it when I drive around cities or I got out back road racing with the boys.

When I go on long distance trips - like my recent North Carolina to Maine and back trip to pick up a car - I use a Uniden R3. Long range detection is fantastic. I’ve been able to get radar signatures alittle over 2 miles out on interstates and back roads.

I used to use a jammer instead of detector don't remember the brand. Probably still have it some where lol. Haven't used it in years. I am the guy that irritates everyone because I drive the limit or a little below.

I have two passport 9500 that I bought used for around $100 each. Easily paid for themselves at that price.
