The stripe goes straight down the quarters instead of not quite following the angle of the bumper indentation. You can see it briefly in their walk around video.

RC, I see the issue with the yellow car, but the silver and red car stripes look similar in the slight wedge between the stripe and the bumper cutout. What are the differences in the two?

Also, isn't the side marker supposed to be centered in the measurement of the thick and thin stripe together, not just centered in the large stripe, correct? Meaning that the marker should be slightly offset rearward in the thick stripe...

The quarter stripe on silver car is vertical & yes, the side marker light should be centered on the big stripe.
 
When I installed my stripe back in '93 I used the centerfold sales brochure Pic as a guide. It looks like it's very close to parallel with the bumper recess.

I guess it's like a celebrity at a photo shoot when they ask for pics "from their good side".
