Very cool. Where'd ya find those?

How about Jensen Interceptor valve covers? Jensonvalvecovers.jpg

That car came with a Mopar 383.

Interesting enough a guy made them. I found them on racingjunk. A place we all know. I will be happy to take some pics and show you when I get them back. I can describe them though. they seemed to have the top milled off and a fabricated alumium top made. they welded some bolt receivers where the actual valve cover would install just near the top of the cover. They use two gaskets naturally. I should have them back Tuesday. As soon as I get them I will share.

I'm starting to think this thread was a damn good idea.

hers a set of rare nationwise rod shop valve covers.

I just picked up a pair of the old school direct connection valve covers. I'd says they're old school sheik.

Those are awesome!!! Man I'm jealous. I went to my first MoPar swap meet on Saturday in Columbus Ohio and my dad told me that camel back valve covers are decently rare. I think that's what those are. I ddnt see any there but it was a small meet. I still bought some cool stuff though. I really really like those. Especially the vents. I've never seen those before. Thanks for the share!! I'M now in the market for some of those :)

If those are the old aluminum MTs on there, you don't get much more old school cool than that.

Pull um off, clean them up, polish them out, re-paint/powder coat to the color of your choosing and run with them. Below are mine circa 1972. Freshened them up a couple of years ago.

Yeah, they are. I do like them. But my dads look better so I need to step my game up lol. I like yours too. Nice!

I'm installing these "Cal Customs" on the '62 when the engine is completed. Remember seeing them on 1950's custom hot rods. Still see them in use today...
Nice. Those are really clean looking.

Check out Cuda Chick's business. She can take any valve covers and make them into truly cool works of art. If you want something unique do like Runner 68 suggests and then design a cool color scheme...
Ok. Thanks. I'll check it out.

I'm going to a salvage yard on Saturday and I know he has tons of valve covers on the shelf. I'll look if you PM me with your engine specs.
Thanks. I'll do that if I can figure out how lol. I'm on here from my phone. But just incase, I have a 440 Super Commando. Don't really know all the specs exactly. I know it has a big cam but it was already in there so not sure how big. It was a drag car. with this engine that's in it. It sounds really good!

I don't really know the classic 60's/70's look lol. Not sure what wrinkle finish is either lol. Sounds cool though. I guess I just want something really cool that people hardly ever see or know about. Like the Long Horn Cross Ram I want to put on there. It's super rare and awesome looking. Just wasn't sure if there was such a thing as a rare set of valve covers. My dad has these brass looking moroso's with these long wing tip screws on his. Looks kind of cool. Is there a 1 up I can do him? Lol

Don't they know how to take pictures in Kentucky LOL. Images can be rotated LOL. Looks to me like some redneck painted your classic Mickey Thompson valve covers LOL. Cheap stamped Moroso valve covers are easy to one up LOL. Put a little thought and elbow grease into it LOL.
When I upload the picture it is rotated properly. I've also noticed other people having this problem so it's not because I'm a Kentucky redneck. Number 2 I believe my dads covers are old vintage ones. Not cheap ones. My dad doesn't have anything cheap on any of his cars. I would say something really smart#%^ at this point and tick you off but I don't feel like ruining this good thread. I already had this problem once. Why don't you just go troll somewhere else.

Those look cool. Wouldn't work for me though. The 440 Magnum are specific to Dodges. Nice though! Thanks for sharing.

I don't see many guys with these. Thank goodness!!

Back in the day you could get clear valve covers and see your valve train move. It was a cool concept but if I remember correctly they were plastic and proned to leak. I would get a set of thick aluminum covers and hack off the tops, machine a ridge around the top edge and sandwich a piece of high temp glass or lexan between the valve cover and a nice thick flange. Drill, tap, silicone and bolt together. The glass might be the money part of the project being that it might need to be tempered after it is cut.
I've never heard of that or seen it but it sounds awesome. Sounds risky too lol. Wouldn't it get oil on the glass where you can't see in eventually though?

Yeah that's super custom! Definitely something to consider.

Actually the 1970 383/440 "ORIGINAL" STOCK valve covers are becoming hard to find!
Untouched, unmolested....
They are a "one year" only valve cover.
I'll try to look them up. Do you have a picture?

Set? I only see one.
He didn't say here's a picture of a set smart guy. He said heres a set and only took a picture of one. It's also on the engine so he obviously has the other. Still feel advanced? Like I said before. Go troll elsewhere. Ur not welcome here. Bunch of cool guys having a good conversation and theres always one in the crowd.

Picked up a pair of Direct Connection- Mopar Performance from a buddy. Needed to clear the Harland Sharp rockers and increased baffling area for pcv.

NEW MOPAR DIRECT CONNECTION VALVE COVERS BIG BLOCK OEM DODGE CHRYSLER PLYMOUTH

There ya go! I always loved all the Direct Connection goodies - pure MOPAR history right there. And since non MOPAR guys probably have no idea of hue connection, make lbs for a nice conversation piece.

I have yet to locate the rectangular breathers (the picture I posted was one I googled, as my car is in storage as we renovate our house). Let me know if you find any!
