I noticed my brake lights were out on the passenger side (both bulbs). Driving lights come on no problem. There are two plugs under the gas fill so I thought that harness might have an issue. I tried the blinkers, which use the brake filament, and they work just fine.

Things that work:
- tail lights, both sides
- blinkers, both sides
- brake lights, driver side only

Things that don't work:
- brake lights, passenger side

What could be causing this? It wouldn't be the turn signal switch would it? Seems that causes other light related issues, but my blinkers work fine.

Check grounds. Almost always a ground or an issue with the socket. Or in your case make sure the Turn/Stop bulb is an 1157.
