Refresh the shop/man-cave

Next project: Building me a shop!

Just kidding, my grandfather and I are looking at moving to a bigger property so we can build a shop. Looked into a
permit for just a car port and it would have been $1100 to apply for the permit alone because we wanted it close to the property line...

I'M JEALOUS

can't imagine those kind of penalties just for improvements. DW deals with the government all the time for permits and such. it's a pain in the *** but not expensive; yet... good luck

finished the electrical and bled the lift out. ready to go. it barely fit. left side is almost touching the ceiling and the right side is next to the heater. had to make a heat shield.

this thread is getting better as it goes looking very good keep em coming

I wanna know when you're having the open house. That place looks awesome!

Your shop looks incredible!!!

I very much like the look of the epoxy floor. Who is the manufacturer of the material?

I love it, I really like the old ripple tin look. I did that in our cabin on the ceiling inside. Barn boards on the interior walls and the ripple tin on the ceiling.

If you get tired of that being a shop/man cave, you could open a cool sports bar out there, lol.

Holy Crap!! I would love to have a lift. I think eventually I might get the Dannmar MaxJax. Several years ago there was a group buy for the MaxJax on thegaragejournal.com. I think they went for less than $1800.00 delivered, if I remember correctly. Still kicking myself for not jumping on that.

that would have been a great deal!

was talking to the guys in maint. today and said "how in the world did i manage for the past 30 years without a lift?" i gotta say, it's unbelievably convenient. just finished dropping the engine out of the '64. took about 2 hours. completely different story....

LOL! It's kind of that now except there is no bar food (other than dried apples) no TV (yet) no sports (other than cars) no women (other than no women) and no booze (other than Bud and Gray Goose)....

Rick and I went shopping last saturday. Hit a cat named Mike Schwab (sp) in Michigan east of Grand Rapids. Tons of Signs!!. Been eyeing the Neon Plymouth for a while on his website. Even though it's Plymouth in a "Dodge-Garage", couldn't pass it up. He cut somewhat of a deal for both signs. The 66 Sign is a throw-back to when I was a mechanic at the local Phillips 66 30ish years ago. Finished hanging some small prints too. We're getting there....

Creeper? You could roll around on the floor in your "Sunday best" and not get dirty.
