Just wondering if anyone here uses one or what your thoughts are on them?

Good / Bad ?

Checking out where the filter is located and thinking changing the filters as usual is no picnic and will make quite the mess.

If you are talking big block, yep it can be a mess. I cut a milk jug in two and slid it under the filter before I loosened it, caught most of the drips. Another tip I heard was to punch a hole in the bottom end of the filter and let the oil drain out before you unscrew it.

I use aluminum foil to make a trough (for lack of a better word) to carry the oil away from the filter

So no one has any opinions on the remote filter set ups........or heard any negative feedback about them.

I have no idea............thats why I'm asking.

Opinion? Yes, it would be handy for changing filters, and using a remote mount may help cooking. Using a mount with dual filters would add oil capacity. However, the lines and remote mount would add some restriction to oil flow, I should think.

Just something else to get in the way. And unless you use something like an Oberg, then there isn't any real filtering advantage. So it kinda comes down to if you want it for the visual impact
