Reproduce a fender tag, Yes? No? Maybe???

As I understand it, Galen Govier is the god of Mopar numbers. His site http://galengovier.com/ says this:

Who is Galen Govier & What is GTS?
Let me explain, GTS is not a Car Club, it is the name of my business. It stands for Galen’s Tag Service. I reproduce rusty or missing fender tags for 1962-1974 Dodge, Plymouth & Chrysler products, and am considered the acknowledged authority on the decoding of VIN, fender tag, and Broadcast Sheet Information for all Mopars.

I guess my question is if the Mopar numbers god reproduces fender tags, how can it be wrong? Are those opposed to reproduced fender tags against it even if Galen creates it? Is he just in it for the money? What about the argument that if I put a repopped fender tag on my car, I am responsible for all future lies regarding that car. If Galen's business is at least partially reproducing fender tags, then he must be responsible for thousands or hundreds of thousands of lies. Not trying to start an argument, just wanting to understand where Galen Govier fits in to the equation.
Dont waste your time and money with him. Skip the tag. That is part of the cars history. The car was stolen and lost its tag. IF you get the car bought just take lots of pics to verify how it was when you obtained it. You may be honest as the day is long but the next guy may not be.

I did not know that, thanks for the information!!! One more question, is there any database at Chrysler that would hold this information, or has all that info probably been purged long ago?
Nope. Long gone.

Supposedly the records were around until just a few years ago, although they were unorganized. Rather than assign employees to sort them out and respond to requests, Chrysler pretended they didn't have them (or just didn't know all of what they had) and they went into a dumpster after one of the mergers.

There is a VIN/VON list out there, which was compiled by insurance companies, but the public isn't able to access it.

Wow, that is really too bad. I bet there were people who would have done it for free!!!

I really wish I wouldn't have lost mine... Nobody will ever believe my car came from the factory with white paint, green interior and the 318/904/8.75 drivetrain
I believe you LOL

I had one made for my nothing-special charger, included all the usual boring stuff stamped into the tag, but I had my wedding date popped in there too with our names......yeah, points made bro's. I'm good for at least a year!
