In the garage. Under the hood. Again.
...Right? Here's the deal: It seems like my 3400 lb. S/S springs should have raised the back of the S.F. a bit more than they did. When I had the stock(+1" ride height) replacement springs from McVeigh's on there,I could tell that they would not work with the rear tire/wheel combo I had. I probably would have installed the S/S springs down the road;just decided to try them while the car was still airborne(on jacks). I'm wondering what a set of 3600# B-body units would do;with a big block and 185 of me in there,I'm sure we're approaching 3600 lbs. Probably more...

Anyway;I've looked at numerous pics of A/SA and B/SA cars(Max Wedge) and noticed that the Mopar Stockers do have a taller rear height-more than what I've got. I know a lot of them run a 30" tall tire;mine are 29". I'm presuming they're running 3400# springs;are these guys getting them re-arched or running something other than the Mopar pieces? Here's a pic of mine;I'd like some opinions and commentary, please. Oh,I did raise the front about an inch;looks great, with just a touch of a nose-down look. No pics of that yet-I will get some...

Just take those springs off, send them to me and get what you really want, lol! I like it, sits just right in my book.

Looks good to me. Most Super Stock springs are too stiff for me, and they usually jack my cars 4 inches higher.

Looks fine Al, with no fuel in the tank my 64 sits level with the top of the rim (15x8 with a 265/70/15,30in) no rubbing. I want to go to a 285/70/15 bit over 31in.....when i can find some.

Just drive it !

I'm trying to!!! Actually,I did yesterday, for the first time. With the old 14" wheels on it,coming home from getting the trans repaired. I hope to drive it today with the "new" rolling stock;I'll find out if the rear tires rub. As far as the ride;not bad. Like some of you guys have stated, they're supposed to have a rough ride;I didn't experience that. Hmmm...

Updates as they come along...and thanks for any advice!

Looks great. SEnd them to me and get some new ones. I would be happy with that stance with SS springs. As long as they do what they are suppose to to get the power to the ground that would work great. As the others say, DRIVE IT!!

All right now! Just took her for a short ride and(drum roll,please...) the rear tires DON'T rub! That was the issue with the ride height;I was worried the springs had not set her up enough for the needed clearance. I did hit some good-sized bumps and rolls just to see,and no rub,Bub. Whew;now I can continue with the cleanup and such. She'll get an alignment tomorrow and we should be good to go. My pinion snubber hits on every shift, though;I may have to shorten it or replace with another style. I'm running the Mancini "screw" style, and it's at the lowest level. That was another issue with the ride height;the constant "clunk" when the springs compressed or at shift points. Hey,it's gonna be a hot rod;you learn to live with certain traits.

Driving my car;I was wondering when THAT was going to happen.
