Roadbird's 1970 Roadrunner restoration.

Thanks guys for the comments and advice gladly welcomed. I will post my findings and since I got like 3 years or more to do this I don't mind if 1 fender takes a week or two. I have all the time and patience in the world. Right now I'm making do with what I can afford and time for now until I can retire this summer and invest more of the expected free time on this project this summer. :headbang: Again Thanks guys and can't wait to try out my new toys, keep everybody here posted.

My Dana Internals

I just might stick with this for awhile before I upgrade to 4.10's.

I know. It's just that I'm excited about getting this rearend and was curious of the gearing so I opened it and took pictures. Next I'm going to blast the area of the tack welds and drill out the welds on the right 1/4 panel and remove and replace with amd. Your right about working on replacing and repairing metal first and that is my intent. Again thanks for the advice and comments.

That's a Dana? It looks more like a 9 1/4" Chrysler differential to me.

You know what you are right. I t is a 9.25" out of a C bodied Chrysler according to the person I got it from for free. Oh well I guess I got to modify these to used on my Roadrunner. The spring perches are a total of 1/2" difference than my 8.75" but the width are inches wider. I'm gonna have to have a machinist narrow these down to the same width as a 8 3/4 or narrower for me.

Got some time to...

Got some time to work on Roxanne's metal removal this weekend and I'm getting impatient to drive her already. But all is good and taking my time with this. Still waiting for electrician to come next week to install a 240V outlet in my other garage for my air compressor. :headbang: Here are some pics of my work yesterday.

Starting on right passenger rear quarter panel removal this weekend hopefully. Once the electrician runs me a 240V 30 amp. outlet plug for my air compressor and hopefully try out the media blast machine too.

Well folks it's been so long since I posted anything on here for maybe a month I think? So to start off just want to say that recently I had the opportunity to meet Md11hud at his place and have seen the 1968 Charger Barn find and all I can say is that it is a really solid build to start of with, (most I've seen that year are in really bad shape to start off with but doable). I also bought the whole complete front and rear brake assembly from his Charger and it will be going into Roxanne. I also received a complete 489 center section that just arrived while I was at Md11hud pickin-up the brake assemblies, (I feel blessed). Center section came from johndle1 btw. Thanks and here are some pics of the 489. I will post up some pics of the brake assemblies from Md11hud later when I get the chance. Happy Memorial day everybody, especially those who served and those who are still serving, God Bless and keep up the good fight.

10" front and rear brake assemblies.

Just acquired these yesterday from Md11hud. It's from a 1968 Dodge Charger barn find that he's restoring. Thanks and here are the pics.

I've got a pair of those hanging in the garage.....still in the package.

Got them for 5 bucks at a all mopar car show and swapmeet. Also found a 426 Wedge block, heads and 2 forged steel cranks, but didn't buy them yet till next payday hopefully if no one buys it before me. The seller gave me his number so I'll be giving him a call to find out if it sold. Crossing my fingers it still available. I also bought a complete front drum brake system out of a 69 Roadrunner for $75. Not much cars there and I forgot to bring my camera. Wasn't planned ahead of time, cause if I had known earlier I would have been prepared financially to buy some stuff for my Roadrunner. Found the place about an hour south where I live. Got lost too, twice trying to find the place, but found it I did. Oh, and it was at Olympic Peninsula here in Washington.

426 Pics.
