Best to work with a Mopar Expert
Like working with Sherman on a Chevy
B3 kit with roller tip rockers
oil mods good- suction side is most important
pg 2
short con rod takes a different intake open lobe than long con rod piston flow demand and all that
pg 3
scotchbright - are you going to clean the motor again and how do you get that damn stuff out?
great thread
thanks

So I broke myTCI converter a few years back. I replaced it with a PTC. It’s a bit tighter and slowed the car down a bit. Last time I had it out it was an 11.0 car. Since then I’ve played with the car quite a bit. I did some more port work on the six pack and am running mechanical carbs. That pretty much got the ET back that I had lost with the converter swap. I did have the TCI fixed. I’ll probably plug that back in. May go back to the Indy single and a dominator as well. Car feels super fast with that combo but I’ve never ran it at the track.

Anyway here’s a few sets of time slips with the tight converter and some videos from last weekend at Ubly dragway.

Lost some ET due to converter

I’ve also played with a dominator on it. Both on the TM6 and on a max wedge ported Indy. The Indy with the Dominator screams! I don’t have any track data on it though. I may give it another shot with the TCI converter and no exhaust next year to see how it runs. I’ll have to put some better leaf springs on the back though. Mine are shot. I’ve been sticking mostly with the six pack just cause it’s cool to have a real A12 air cleaner and hood on the car.

Nice! That thing sh**ts and gets.
What are you running for tires again? I thought drag radials?

I just had some MT 275/60/15 pro radials on it last weekend. I was surprised how well they work. Those are what I drive it on the street with. It was running through the mufflers as well.

That's awesome!

Well she’s treated me good for the last 7 years. I can’t even imagine how many hard street passes this engine has. She developed an intermittent noise internally. Still has good oil pressure and acts “ok”. Just can’t quite pin point what it is but, something isn’t happy. I was planning on a freshen up anyway. Wouldn’t be a big deal if I didn’t have my hemi torn apart again and occupying all my space. Now I have some decisions, been really thinking about drag and drive set up. The other part of me wants to not change a whole lot and go back to a 4 speed. I have a fresh trans ready to go I did a few years ago. Hmm.. if I went with a drag and drive set up I will defiantly lean on it with a 150-200 shot. Also thought about pumping the compression up and going to E85. If I go that route I may as well open the heads up to max wedge size. Things kind of snow ball I suppose.. I’ll post a recap of all the carbs and intakes I’ve ran on this engine.

Found my noise! Forgot to update from my last post. It broke the flex plate and did some damage to the trans. Nothing major, I freshened the trans, sent the convertor out, and stuck a new flex plate on it. Noise fixed.. lol

Had it out last week and my buddy did a little video footage of it. Probably it for the year. We did my dart as well.

Do you have a photo of time slip?

Nice 60 ! Is that with slicks? Also may I ask car weight?

Good to know. I have the 325/50/15. Mine will be probably the same weight or 100 heavier. Will it dead hook at the track or do you have to drive it off the line?

It hooks, there’s some videos a little back in the thread.

Awesome car, what converter are you running?

511 6bbl has a nice ring to it dont ya think
Yes! Yes I do!
I was going to put a single plane 6bbl atop my still not finished 572, but that hard and fast "rule" went out the window when I was forced to sell my V-code Roadrunner.
Now I'll be happy to finish the 572 and put it in something with 4 wheels.
