I took off my AMD repro valve covers today as I have leaks on both sides at the firewall. (I have Moroso blue gaskets and a set of APR valve cover studs and spreaders on the way). I've personally never taken them off before as my local shop painted and installed them a few years ago. No leaks for several thousand miles, but now it's leaking again. Anyway, the first rocker arm above cylinder 3 looks to be an issue and possibly the one one next to it on cylinder 1.

There are no unusual noises and I've driven the car thousands of miles over the past 4+ years.
A local Mopar guy just fixed my RMS leak (FINALLY!!) and he drove it a bit and didn't hear anything unusual either (this was before I found this).
Is this something that should be addressed and is there an underlying issue?

I really have very little knowledge of engine internals and I know this is the place to ask!
Thanks!

I dont see how the rocker got damaged even when running.Damage is on the top. Is it loose ,is there alot of play in it? To me it looks like it is angled to one side,is it the picture? I would replace it since you already have it opened up. How does the top of the valve look? Side pic would help.

I don't see anything wrong other than a little defect. it doesn't appear to be twisted. I don't think its hurting anything. it's probably been that way for 40 years. if it bugs you throw another one on.

It's a little difficult to tell by the pics but do you have spacer rings between each pair of rockers?

There is zero play side to side/up/down. The top is square with the rest of them, it's just the bottom that looks off. to me.
Here's a picture from the side.

Both sets of valve covers (new and old) look fine inside. I'd prefer to leave it alone if it's not an issue.

I'd say it was just stamped a little off during manufacturing. They made millions of these so the odds of a screwup?

Thanks everyone! Glad to hear this.
Now I can get back to sealing the valve covers!
