Roger's Roadrunner

Roger, It sure looks like your going to town on the bird, Funny what those little creatures can do and stuff up, I always put that decon out in the garage and on the floor in car (winter only) in the fall especially, I must have put 8-10 boxes out there this winter, trying to keep them out of the car but sometimes i wonder if it gets them all lol, Has to help and slow them down anyway!

Have been doing some work lately on the interior items. Will take more photos when they are done. Have sanded down the dash and have 1 light coat of paint on it, then ran out of paint. Started on the Fresh air vent box and basically have that done. Started sanding down some of the metal pieces for the heater. Will take the condenser to a radiator shop and have that checked for leaks in the future. What would be the best way to clean the heater housing? Wash it, then light scuffing or sand with fine grit (600 or more) sandpaper before I paint it.

Nice work Roger, I need to put some fresh paint on my dash too. Keep posting those pictures.

Finally read through your entire thread roadrunnerman or can I call you Rodger? Very inspirational and helpful. I can't wait till my Coronet is at the place where yours is. Hoppefully it will be half as good as what you've done here. Keep plugging away at it. :) The next one I'm trying to read through is donnys satellite thread. I'll need a comfy chair for that one.

By all means you can call me Roger. thanks for reading from the beginning and thanks for the compliment. I only wish I was half as good as some of the other members here, (Propwash, Hunt2elk, Northerndave, Donny, The Swede, and many, many, many others here that have extreme fabrication skills. They have inspired me to "UP" my eye for detail when working on my own car and hope they do the same for you. When I first started on my car, I was just planning on building the motor and doing the body, but you know how it is, you get one thing fixed and 2 more things pop up that needs to be redone.

Oooooh, not fair to these craftsmen to toss my name in with them, lol! I'm a caveman!

Roger, this is all looking very good! Keep it up!

Looks like you've been real busy Roger.. Looking great! that dash is going to be sweet with all the work your doing, cant wait to see it!

Roger, works looking great buddy.

I for one am looking forward to seeing the finish of that heater core and dash ! Enjoy the R & R though

Thought I would give everybody an update. WOW!!!!!!!!, I can't believe it's been 9 months since I did anything on my car. Just think how many babies were born in that time. The wife has let me spend most of our tax refund for more parts. So I ordered the rear quarter skins and trunk floor from Jeff @521. He didn't have the 1/2 frame rails (rear) so i'm thinking of getting them from auto rust technicians. They have them both for $329+shpg. Is that a decent price or does anybody know a place cheaper. Will start on my car again once I get the rails ordered and to my door.
