lemon wedge i do like that look and it would be easier for my wife to get in and out of. the car. swing outs are good but they do have a way of getting in front of the armrest. i really like that stock look in the interior with a rollbar makes you wonder what's up and under the hood

which k frame do you got if you don't mind. is the front suspension a kit or your own build.

My main hoop is done just like this one as I bent it up onto the rocker panel and it looks just like this one. Which I knew my car was going to stay a street car but I do agree with Doug as the way he did his welded to a bar from the frame connector to the rocker is the best way and if my car was a race car I would have done it like Doug's is. But done like this car did the main hoop with the 6 x 6 plate bent up on the rocker has worked fine for my street car that I don't race a lot. Ron

it don't show on my 63 , but that main hoop is mounted on cross members between the sub-frame connectors and the rockers , made from 3'' box'd tube . that bar has been in my car since the early 70's . the new engine will be quicker , so i'll have to up date it to later safety specs .

My door bar I left straight the way it came in my S & W kit. And I welded it right where the trans crossmember frame comes comes off the front uni-body frame so the plate is welded to part of the front uni-body frame. I wanted it there to give it more strength and since I can slide over it easy enough I did not put a cutout bar in as I figured this may keep it a bit stronger. I would say read over the rule book also so you know how you want to build your rollbar will be legal. Ron

If that question was to me,the front end is basically stock with a 66 "K" frame ane we set the block back a little over 2 inches.Cut the k with the vision of Doug's picasso!

That's what I thought were you going to brace the inside of the k member

Did run a support down to the k and braced the steering box because there not much left of the steering box mount. Also changed the top shock mount location.:popcorn2:

Have a question I'm undecided on running my mid plate but when you ordered your TC did you have them compensate the mounting holes for the additional thickness?
Thanks

Midplate comes with 2 spacers,,,,,6 bolt & 8 bolt.
Midplate & "J" bars made a world of difference!

Mine came with the car, I guess hardened washers of the same thickness will work????

I might still have it,doubt I threw it away........but anyone who makes the plate most likely will sell the spacer.

Ok I see now, i was wondering why you were asking about my crank... I was thinking the spacer went between the flexplate and the TC.
Thanks !!!

Gave a quick look while in the garage.Naturally I did not find it.Don'y mean it's not here! Just call Jegs or Summit, they must sell them.

Mid plate can be a tough fit with wedge headers.
