Rusty's Roadrunner

Well decided I didn't feel like being on my back to finish up the exhaust install. For a long time I'm been messing with getting the quarter windows aligned and after a nice PM I got from a member on here I decided to shim out the window using thick glass setting tape I had laying around. WORKED LIKE A CHARM! Windows are aligned and I got to install the panels and rear seat and now the pics...

Good deal. Now you can get back to workin on that exhaust.

That's a sweet looking bird there and it looks like your family's right at home and happy with it.. If this runs as good as it looks, any competition down the line is in trouble. This is sure to bring an award home from shows!

Great job your doing, love the engine compartment and color. Good luck with finishing it up.

Interior done

Got all the interior done, still don't know what I'm going to do about the stereo system but I'll figure that out later.

Also as an update got the engine broken in this weekend after a little trouble. Also burned out my heater blower motor which sucks because I just had it rebuilt. I think the hamster wheel was binding in the heater box because I put my fingers in there through the temperture cardboard coil thing that is screwed into the front of the heater box and it wasn't spinning freely. So note to self check that before you put your box in so you don't have smoke billowing out of your cowl grill.

Nice job. Bet you can't wait for spring.

Actually it's already kind of Spring here. It was 70 on Saturday, then fell to 45 on Sunday...it's messing with me

I hope my interior comes out at least half as good as yours is.

Awesome! it's like watching my car be built right before my eyes. T5 gotta love it

Excellent!! That thing is beautiful and your attention to detail is awesome.

First car show

I was going to post this on another thread but figured I'd put it under my restoration since this is the first real car show and first time I've taken pics with the car 100% finished...well minus the radio. BTW the car show I went to had over 870 cars and they gave away 50 plaques. There was no judging just crowd favorites and I ended up getting one. It was pretty cool to drive the Roadrunner through the arena with everybody in the stands cheering when I honked the "BEEP-BEEP". My daughter was in the back strapped to her car seat waving at everybody:headbang:
