Well now that I'm a little over a year into it, I've finally decided to start a restoration thread. Everything except the paint and body work I've done in my garage from a book or from the help of everyone here. Thanks to all that help out. And now for the pics, here is what it was when I bought it, minus the rims and tires.

And the body work begins...

Here is the start of the body work. both quarters, outer wheelhouses, rear window corners, rear crossmember, front driver/pass floor pans, one spot on the driver side inner fender where the hood hinge is, and trunk extensions all had to be replaced.

back on the ground

Got the car off the rotissiere after tons of sand, scraping, blood, and sweat. Reundercoated the bottom while it was on the rotissiere. After rebuilding the rearend and upgrading it with a sure-grip, 3.55 gears, and a little powdercoating. I reinstalled it, then I put dollys under the wheels, I didn't realize how fricken hard it is to move the car once you put a sure-grip in it. Oh and also painted the rear drums red since that's the way I found them.

Got her on all fours again!

Since my last update, I've gotten the engine bay painted and all the front suspension installed plus the steering gear box.

The paint just goes down to the pinch weld from the firewall to the floor. Behind that was sealed, primed and undercoated. The front frame rails also got paint everywhere where you could see

looks great, what kind of tires and rims are you useing, im looking for something like those

They are BFG Radial T/As and Crager SS wheels. I like the tires but I actually wish I would have gone with something else in the way of wheels. Reason being is they are heavy but even though it seems everybody has them I don't think many other style wheels look as good. When I bought the car it had some old school aluminum slotted mags on it but they needed to be blasted and were way to wide for the tires I'm running but I liked how light they were.

Sure will. Everything but the body and paint will have been done by me; except for specialty things like the rearend, engine machining, and such. I did all the powdercoating with my friends giant oven and component repair in my small two car garage. I'll tell you what it's nice to start getting parts back on her, I was running out of places to walk in the garage.

Once I get the seats installed I still need to pull down the passenger side cover a little bit, you can kind of see the piping is kind of wavy.
