Where are people sending their RV2’s for rebuild nowadays? Original Air website shows they don’t do them anymore. I don’t want to go aftermarket if possible. I need to convert my entire system over to 134a? TIA.
I needed an RV2 pronto for a road trip and bought one a few years back from Summit that was rebuilt by Four Seasons. I was still using R-12 and need to clean it out of the PAG oil they put in after the "rebuild". Pulled the sump and it was full of trash and rust. I sent it back and Summit sent me another one. Pulled that one apart and same ****. Needless to say, don't go to Four Seasons for a rebuilt unit.
The parts are available, just rebuild it yourself, which is what I ended up doing, they are not difficult.
